Installing the T-Tapes
This page shows how to install the T-Tapes you made following the instructions on Page 3. The installation in the pictures is on a replica penis, which, unlike most of us, is always hard. To install the T-Tapes on yourself, you should get erect, or at least semi-erect. You will be installing the center of the T-Tape head (i.e., where the T-leg attaches to the T-head) along your "line of equilibrium". Find that line by pulling the shaft skin on your flaccid penis forward as far as you can, and marking the fold at the outer-most end. If the line is a little erratic, just wrap the tape on the average line. I suggest you stand or lay on your back, rather than sit, when finding this line. Check Derrick Townsend's Restoration Page for more details. Once you know where that line is, you will not have to mark it each time. But you should check it weekly, as it will move as the skin stretches and grows . Here is how to install the tapes:
Pull the leg of the T over to one side, grab the Micropore tape where it overhangs the end of the backing strip, and peel the T-Tape off of the strip. Careful not to let the T-head parts stick to each other.
Wrap the tape around your shaft. The center of the T-head should be on the "line of equilibrium" of your shaft skin.
Put the points of a sharp pair of scissors at the point where the T-leg attaches to the T-head, and cut in to exactly where the ends of the T-Tape overlap. Then turn the scissors 90 degrees so you are cutting straight out toward the end of your penis, and cut the T-Tape leg all the way to its edge, and remove the piece. Since you will be working on your own penis instead of a rubber dick, I suggest you exercise considerable care with the scissors while making these two cuts!!!
After cutting, things look like this. Separate the "tabs" and press the one nearest your body down onto the adjacent tape.
Gently pull the T-leg back toward your body, and tuck the second tab under and stick it down. After smoothing everything down and making sure the adhesive has a good hold, this is how things look.
